Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all class registrations with KAT CCI (Illinois Concealed Carry License training). By registering and paying for a class, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

1. Registration & Payment

• All classes must be paid in full to reserve a seat. Seats are not held without payment.
• Accepted payment methods: major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Zelle, and cash.
• Listed prices are for instruction only. Illinois state fees, processing fees, range fees, lane waiver fees, and firearm/ammunition rental are not included unless expressly stated.

2. Cancellations, Transfers & Refunds

• All payments are non-refundable.
• A registration may be transferred one time to a future class within 60 days of the original class date, subject to availability.
• No-shows forfeit all payments.
• KAT CCI may reschedule or cancel a class (for example, due to weather, instructor availability, or low enrollment). If we cancel, you may transfer to another date or, at our discretion, receive a refund.

3. Eligibility

• Concealed Carry License (CCL) courses are intended for individuals who meet Illinois eligibility requirements, including being at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to possess a firearm.
• You are responsible for confirming your own eligibility before registering.
• Completing a course does not guarantee issuance of a license by the Illinois State Police.

4. Required Items & Preparation

• Students must bring valid identification and/or a FOID card as required for their class.
• For live-fire portions, students must bring a firearm and the required ammunition, or arrange a rental in advance.
• Arriving without required items or unprepared may result in forfeiting your seat with no refund.

5. Range Safety & Conduct

• Firearms training and live-fire range activities involve inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury or death.
• Students must follow all safety rules and the directions of instructors and range staff at all times.
• KAT CCI may remove — without refund — any student who is unsafe, disruptive, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or otherwise unfit to participate.

6. Assumption of Risk & Liability

• By registering, you acknowledge the inherent risks of firearms training and voluntarily assume those risks.
• A separate liability waiver must be reviewed and signed before participating in any class.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, KAT CCI and its instructors are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

7. Certificates & State Process

• A certificate of completion is issued upon successful completion of the required course hours and qualification.
• The state application, fees, and processing are handled separately by you through the Illinois State Police. Processing times are set by the State and are outside KAT CCI's control.

8. Photography & Media

KAT CCI may photograph or record classes for training or promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be included, notify an instructor in writing before class begins.

9. Changes to These Terms

KAT CCI may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your registration applies to that registration.
